I’m a winner.
so ballerinas are the most metal mother fuckers out there
because not only do they have to go through rigorous training and strain to perfect their craft, while simultaneously destroying their joints and self esteem
but they gotta look like fucking fairies and princesses and graceful swans while they fucking do it and not look like they’re in fucking pain and pushing their bodies to their limits
ballerinas are metal as shit yo
Post of the year award.

I KNOW I can’t be the only plus size dancer out here. I’ve seen a few wonderful ones on tumblr, but I know there must be more. Don’t ever let anyone tell you your size will stand in your way. In your living room, a studio, the street- it doesn’t matter how or where, just dance.

This too!
CommentsOr you do what my ballet teacher suggests: buy a bunch of sizes, try them all on, and send back what doesn’t fit. But once you know your sizes in certain brands, it’s easy to shop online.
CommentsOnline, honestly. Good dance stores are hard to find in person (though Dancewear Corner in the Orlando area is nice) but there are tons of stores online. I’ve purchased from Discount Dance before, but there are also fancy leotard shops like Yumiko and Elevé online.
Make sure you always check the return policy before ordering online, though, in case the item doesn’t fit you right!
