Two Weeks In

We’ve just passed two weeks into the September monthly challenge. How’s everybody doing?

Comments
“If I miss the exercises for a day in the September challenge, should I do them the next day plus that day's exercises or just keep going without doing them?”
-Anonymous

Totally up to you, but I’d suggest just skipping them. I made sure not to have, for example, two arms days in a row so they’d have a chance to rest, and attempting to “catch up” could overwork your muscles.

Comments
“Can I use the September challenge as my complete workout or is this something to add on to another workout?”
-Anonymous

That depends on you. If you’re new-ish to fitness or don’t have a lot of time to work out, use it as your complete workout. If you’re pretty fit, do a lot of lifting, etc., you can use it as something to keep you going with your regular workouts.

Comments
“I guess I'm pretty dumb, but when it says cardio legs, am I doing a cardio and a leg workout? Or do I pick one or the other?”
-Anonymous

You do one of both. :)

Comments
“If on the september monthy workout there 'leg - challenge'... Is it ok if we do Challenge, then legs, It's a really stupid question, sorry, but I feel bad for doing it the wrong order x)”
-esllava

That’s not a stupid question at all! You can do them in any order, any time during the day. Just aim to complete an exercise from all categories listed for the day! :)

Comments
“Its not to late to start the septemember plan is it? :/”
-Anonymous

Of course not! It’s not anything you need to sign up for or anything, just something for you to do. :)

Comments
“How many of the listed workout for the September challenge should i do a day?”
-Anonymous

  1. Look at what category/categories are listed for the day.
  2. Pick one workout from each listed category.
  3. Do them.

Comments
“today, do you do an abs workout or a cardio workout? :s”
-Anonymous

One of each!

Comments
“Hi! First, let me just say, I love your blog! Second, I was curious, for the challenges, should/can those be used as the only work out for that day? or do you go to the gym or do some other sort of cardio as well?”
-Anonymous

Can you use them as the day’s only workout? Yes

Should you use them as the day’s only workout? Maybe. For some people, only the things listed will still be a challenge. For others, they’re a warmup.

backonpointe:

Since my August monthly workout was such a hit, I made another one for September! Like last time, the way it works is simple: look at what’s listed for the current date, pick a workout from the categories below to match what’s listed for the day, and do it! This allows you to alternate muscle groups, stay motivated, and try new workouts.
If you want to share your progress or see how others are doing on the plan throughout September, please tag your posts with BoP: September.
