Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast is absolutely essential for your health and keeping your body healthy. When people think breakfast smoothies, they imagine unhealthy, full of dairy, gluten, sugar and even caffeine, going into it. It doesn’t have to be that way! Breakfast smoothies, if done right, can give sustainable energy and nutrients to support our bodies throughout the day. I challenge you to try one of these smoothies this week, to kick-start your day!
Strawberry-Banana Breakfast Smoothie (Add Protein Powder If Desired)
1 cup orange juice
1/2 cup milk (low-fat/almond/soy)
1/2 banana; cut into pieces
10 fresh strawberries
3 ice cubesChocolate Banana Soy Smoothie (For Chocolate Lovers)
1 cup soy milk (plain or vanilla/substitute with almond/low-fat if desired)
1 medium banana
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
3 ice cubesBanana Berry Protein Smoothie (For Protein Powder Lovers)
1 cup of mixed berries
1/2 banana
1/2 soy milk (or any kind of milk)
1 scoop any kind of protein powder (or if you don’t have protein power add 1 egg white)
3/4 cup yogurt (preferably vanilla)
1 cup iceAdd For A Substantial Breakfast:
- Toast and Eggs

- Cereal (Kashi, Fiber One) with Granola
