Some people do it with the belief that the body will burn more calories in an attempt to warm up the water after you drink it. I think that it’s nonsense, and if you’re worried about the itty bitty fractions of calories used up in that process, you’re way too worried about these things.

I just drink cold water because room temperature water tastes gross, in my opinion.
