Any time you use “Fat Talk” in your life, judging yourself and others’ bodies by size and shape, you are harming yourself and everyone around you. Fat talk may be something obvious, like “I feel so fat today.” Or, it may be something that doesn’t seem harmful to you, like asking a girlfriend, “Does my butt look fat in these pants?” or “You look amazing! Have you lost weight?” All of these statements are used to pass judgement on yourself or someone else according to weight. Make a commitment to stop. Just stop.
