“Hey, I'm going to a music festival next week and was wondering if you have any ideas for food to take with me? I will probably buy my evening meal each day, as it's a hippy festival and they have no shortage of healthy food (almost everything is organic and vegan), but I can't afford it for every meal. Thanks”

Trail mix and granola will be the easiest. It doesn’t need to be refrigerated, can be made at home and in bulk, and you can adjust it to suit your needs and your taste.

If you’ll have access to something with some refrigeration (even just a cooler with a lot of ice), bring crackers and cheese, fresh fruits (I’d suggest uncut fruit if you can, as then the cut areas won’t get icky), veggies and dip, PB&J sandwiches, etc. If you have a little space for storage, you could make rice in advance and bring tortillas and veggies, cheese, and the like to make cold wraps.

You could also look at packaged stuff from the store, like small cans of fruit (make sure you get ones with an easy-open lid), applesauce, and stuff like that. If you can get your hands on a microwave while you’re there, you can also get Soup At Hand or microwavable pasta dishes.
