There are a number of reasons why you may not be able to get all the way up. It could be a flexibility issue, where your ankles cannot extend far enough to get all the way up. It could be a strength issue, with your feet or ankles not having the strength to raise you up when not closer under you. It could be a problem of the shoes not being broken in enough to allow you all the way up, though this is less likely if you can rise up when you have a barre for support.
I’d suggest talking to your teacher about getting onto your boxes. They’d be able to help you figure out what’s holding you back and give you you-specific advice on overcoming it.Leave a comment blog comments powered by Disqus
