During cardio, I just put on awesome, upbeat music. Most of the time, it’s trashy pop stuff like LMFAO or Brittney Spears. If I’m on an elliptical (or, rarely, a treadmill) I’ll bring a book along and read. That distracts me and I end up on the machine longer than I intended.
