Please read my FAQ before sending me a question.

I'm a college student and a dancer, and I'm working to lose weight, gain muscle, become more fit... and help others do the same!

My Ask Box is always open to questions, suggestions, or if you just need to talk. If you'd like something to be answered privately, just let me know in the message. (Note: anonymous questions cannot be answered privately.)

“Hi. I am going to be doing a dance class next school year. But, I have zero flexibility. I've always been embarrassed about it, and I'm feeling very self-conscious about going into this class. I was wondering if you had any ways to increase flexibility that I could do? Ps: I love your blog <3 c:”

The awesome thing about flexibility is that you can improve it anytime. Anyone can.

Short version: Stretch every day.
Long version: Find time to stretch every day. Aim for 10 minutes a day at first, then increase the amount of time you hold each stretch and the number of stretches you do until you’re stretching for 20-30 minutes each day. Make sure you warm up before hand. (That’s why I like to have a long stretching session after a workout. I’m warmed up, pretty pliable, and use the long stretches as a cool down.) If you can, try some yoga classes or videos. Or, check out my stretching video for a number of hamstring stretches that will come in handy for dance classes.

p.s. Thanks for the love! :)
