Anonymous asked: I've just binged, I feel bad, I want to to throw up but I'm trying not going to. Now it's time for me to go to bed, I don't know if I should, because I've just eaten a freaking load of fat. But I think I should since I have to wake up early to run tomorrow. I don't know what to do, I'm freaking out. Help please. Please.

Go to bed. Drink some water, go to bed, sleep, and get up for your run. And if you’re still feeling sick tomorrow morning, take it easy on your run. Make it a jog, make it a run/walk, but don’t push yourself. Binges happen and they’re not the end of the world. Give your body a couple days of care to balance itself back out (drink more water, get enough sleep, etc.) and you’ll be 100% again before you know it.

Anonymous asked: Can jumping rope take the place of running or would I have to do both?

It depends on what you’re doing them for. Both make for great cardio and both are a good leg workout. But if you’re training for a run, you’ll want to do actual running.

How to Dance When You Can’t Afford to Dance

I get people asking me all the time about how they should go about taking dance classes when they/their parents can’t afford to pay for classes. And luckily, there are ways, and I’ve done most of them, having taken classes as a poor college student. So here’s information on finding classes when you don’t have much/any disposable income. (This is not going to include ways to raise money for classes, such as baby-sitting, selling things, etc. This is studio-focused.)

Scholarships
Many dance studios will offer scholarships, though these are normally reserved for children and young teens. These may be need-based (where poorer students get scholarships) or merit-based (where talented students get scholarships) and may require only paperwork or an audition as well. Contact local studios for information on scholarships.

Anonymous asked: You should post a picture of you and your boyfriend(:

We don’t have many pictures together (since I’m normally behind the camera and he hates being in photos), but here are two:

image
This is us the day he moved to Florida last March, visiting his baby nephew. I had been crying for hours, so I look awful, but whatever.

And here’s the two of us at Siesta Key when I visited him last year in… April? Must have been April.

The only recent pictures of us together are us doing goofy faces, like going out for Zombies, Run! or laughing at our pet bird sitting on my head.

fortyoneny replied to your post: My abs are sore from last night. Owww.

I just started using your calendars and workouts, and my abs are still sore from Wednesday! Its a good sore though. Thanks for putting all of these workouts up for use by others. Ive learned a lot of new exercises already (hooray google!) :D

Anonymous asked: How were you able to start pointe after only a year of ballet? I'd like to work up to that too!

I got lucky. Really, that’s the main reason I got to start pointe so early, so much earlier than I would recommend for people. But I have strong and flexible ankles, a decent arch, a good instep, the passion for it, and a ballet/pointe teacher who believed in me. She pushed me, hard, but it meant I progressed quite quickly.

My abs are sore from last night. Owww….
