Anonymous asked: I've been sick for the past couple of days and I was wondering if you had any tips for recovering quicker or getting more vitamins easier? thanks you xo
It depends on what you’re sick with, but here are my ways of getting better quicker:
And I also like to use it as a time to eat some nice comfort foods, like potato corn chowder or baked ziti. Yumm…
I’m going through my old photos on Facebook and was looking through the ones from my last day of pointe class at UW-Milwaukee. It was so much fun, especially since I brought my camera to get a group photo and my teacher (and, at times, a student who was sitting out) used it to take pictures of us dancing.
So here’s my pointe class, minus a couple people. I’m in the blue top and cut-off tights (it’s a long, gruesome story).
Back On Pointe Reader Survey -
Hey everyone! I’d love it if you could spare a minute or two to complete this simple survey. The answers you provide will help shape the direction this blog will take in the future.
Thank you all in advance!

i danced from ages 2-32 and i never heard the term. its completely made up. grrrr.
I wouldn’t say that. I have been called a bunhead jokingly by my old ballet teacher. It’s just not nearly as common as the books and TV shows would like you to think.
bapgeek replied your post Back On Pointe Fans? Bapfs? Nah…
whatever you do, please don’t call us bunheads.
Hadn’t even occurred to me. Too few of my readers are dancers, and it’s become such an overused term.
I’m working on my first-ever food review! It’s of Barre: a real food bar, an item I was looking for for years before I finally found a store that sold them.
On my walk today I was thinking about you. Yes, you. My readers. The people who tell me about their workouts, who share this blog with friends, who ask their questions in the Back On Pointe Fitocracy group, who check in to this blog every day to get inspired.
And I realized that I don’t know what to call you.
When I talk to people, I call you my “readers.” But that’s boring. “Fans” sounds stuck-up and is so vague.
I want a name for the amazing group of you that is unique. A name we could put on t-shirts to recognize each other at the gym. A name for the awesome group of teenagers, students, dancers, parents, and everyone else who are striving towards wellness one step at a time.
So, do you have any ideas?
bbygirlimablur asked: That's neat, have you ever visited before moving? my best friends live there and I'm up in dallas that's why I'm curious because if you haven't visited there's so much fun stuff and there's this park (that I can't think of the name right now) that I went to once and I saw your post about going on a walk and I feel like you'd love this park it's beautiful and I went there last time to watch the sun rise with some friends (but it's actually better to watch the sunset because it's facing west.)
I haven’t been there, but my boyfriend and my roommate were out there a few months ago for a conference. They say it’s very similar to the city I’m from, so I’m excited. And there are parks everywhere! I’m hoping to have a big party in the Zilker Metropolitan Park!
